My nephews are heading back to school, so I thought I’d send them a back to school card. I used the Cool Kids Simply Scrappin’ Set to make this card. I used the Basic Gray textured cardstock for the base (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2). I cut a piece of the designer paper in 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ strips to frame the sides of the cardstock to make it look like a blackboard edged with decorator paper. I used Versamark ink to ink the alphabets in the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet. I used White Stampin’ Emboss powder and the heat gun to heat emboss the letter to look like chalk on the blackboard. (I don’t even know if they use chalk and blackboards in school these days, heh.) I stamped a little “Thinking of you” sentiment and embossed a gold star on the inside. I also lined the inside of the card with Whisper White cardstock for writing a little note.

I’m sure the boys will love it!
