I made this card for my oldest nephew’s birthday. He’ll be 8 the end of this month. I thought it would be fun to try the scratch and sniff technique. I think he’ll like it. He always gets such a kick out of my cards.
I started with a 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ base of the retired Kiwi Kiss and added a layer of 4″ X 5 1/4″ retired DSP paper from the Walk in the Park set. To get the scratch and sniff effect, I mixed a bit of apple-cranberry powdered drink mix with Clear Embossing Powder. I stamped the apple from the Tart and Tangy stamp set in Versa Mark then Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink on Whisper White paper and then heat embossed it with my embossing powder mixture. Apple-y!
I stamped the Happy Birthday senitment from the Four Squares stamp set in Kiwi Kiss in Whisper White.
I used the 1 1/4″ Square Punch to punch out the apples and my sentiment. Then I used the 1 3/8″ Square Punch to punch out some Kiwi Kiss Squares and layered. I attached the squares with Snail Adhesive and popped up the Happy Birthday with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I’m sure my nephew is going to love it!

Cute! Too bad I don’t have a scratch and sniff monitor!
